Sprite Sheet Maker & Cutter

Turn a GIF, clip or images into a sprite sheet with CSS and JSON, or cut a sheet back into frames or a GIF.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Sprite Sheet Maker & Cutter works

Frames are laid out on a grid with Canvas 2D. The CSS uses a steps() animation and the JSON follows the common TexturePacker hash format that Phaser, PixiJS and many engines read.

Input: GIF, APNG, WEBP, AVIF, PNG, JPG, MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV, AVI. Output: PNG, CSS, JSON, GIF, APNG, WEBP.

How to use Sprite Sheet Maker & Cutter

  1. Drop one or more images onto Sprite Sheet Maker & Cutter.
  2. Tune the options. The before/after preview updates live.
  3. Process the batch.
  4. Download a single image, or everything as a ZIP.

Tips

  • Most image tools accept many files at once.
  • WebP and AVIF give much smaller files than JPG at the same visual quality.
  • Set a default image quality in Settings. Tools that do not choose their own quality use it.
