Halftone Generator

Turn photos into dot, line, square or CMYK halftone art with screen angle, ink and paper colours.

Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.

How Halftone Generator works

The image is sampled on a rotated grid and each cell is drawn as a shape sized by how dark it is. CMYK mode separates the image into four inks at classic screen angles and overprints them, like a printing press.

Input: JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, TIFF. Output: PNG, JPG, WEBP.

How to use Halftone Generator

  1. Drop an image.
  2. Pick one ink, two inks or CMYK, and a dot shape.
  3. Adjust cell size, angle and contrast.
  4. Download at full size.

Tips

  • Larger cells give a bolder poster look.
  • Use cream paper and dark ink for a print feel.
