Font Converter
Convert fonts between TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, EOT and SVG, with ready-to-paste @font-face CSS.
Free, no uploads, no sign-up. Runs 100% in your browser.
How Font Converter works
Fonts are parsed and rewritten with fonteditor-core. WOFF2 uses Google's Brotli-based WOFF2 encoder compiled to WebAssembly. OTF (CFF) fonts are read and saved with TrueType outlines. A fonts.css file with @font-face rules is generated for you.
Input: TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, EOT, SVG. Output: WOFF2, WOFF, TTF, EOT, SVG, CSS.
How to use Font Converter
- Drop one or more font files.
- Tick the formats you want.
- Press Convert and download the ZIP with the fonts and CSS.
Tips
- WOFF2 alone covers every modern browser and is the smallest.
- Check the font licence before you host it on a website.
Font Converter FAQ
- Is my file uploaded?
- No. Everything runs in this browser tab on your own device. Engines are downloaded once and cached, but your files never leave your computer.
- Can it output OTF?
- No. OTF uses CFF outlines, which this engine can read but not write. TTF works everywhere OTF does.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
