How Embedded File Extractor works

The file is scanned for the starting bytes of about 30 formats. For formats with a known structure (PNG chunks, JPEG markers, ZIP end record, PDF end marker, RIFF sizes, SQLite page count) the exact end is found too. Each hit can be downloaded on its own or all together as a ZIP.

Input: Any file. Output: JPG, PNG, PDF, ZIP, ZIP of all.

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
