How Comic Converter works
Archives are opened and packed by 7-Zip compiled to WebAssembly (7z-wasm, LGPL-2.1 with the unRAR licence restriction). It is a separate engine file of about 1.6 MB that your browser downloads once and caches, and it runs in a background thread so the page stays responsive. Pages are sorted in natural order, can be resized and recompressed on a canvas, and are placed one per page in a PDF with pdf-lib.
Input: CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT, PDF, ZIP, RAR, 7Z. Output: PDF, CBZ, CB7, ZIP.

- No. This tool runs entirely in your browser tab. Files are read from your disk into memory and the result is generated locally.
- Is it free? Are there limits or watermarks?
- Free and open source (MIT). There are no file-size caps, daily quotas, accounts or watermarks.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page (and any engine it needs) has loaded, it keeps working without a connection thanks to the service worker cache.
